Regency England
Mood:  quizzical
Hello, this week I would like to discuss Regency England. It is a popular era in history for readers of historical romance. Why do you think people enjoy reading Regencies with their witty language and Regency-set historicals with the added sensuality? It was an exciting and dangerous time. Plenty of things have improved in the world since then, such as hot running water and women's rights, but was there anything they did better than we do now? Is there anything we can learn from them? What do you think?

I hate to admit this, but I feel that Hollywood plays the deciding factor in what makes books popular. Popularity tends to go where the money goes. Sigh! I just wish historical romances would become popular again...
